Mention

Ah, it looks like I was mentioned in Robert's Blog. Always fun to see your own name out there! I hope to give a lot of time and energy to promote the University of Iowa's open source community. ^_^

Keeping It Up

So I'm keeping busy with a lot of fun things, such as Iowa OSUM. Also find me on my primary blog, or my Sun Ambassador Blog. It looks like I won't have any free time until Christmas... hopefully I can stop myself from playing videogames before then.

New Ideas

I may be working on several new ideas for my next potential campaign. You see, campaigning for something like I do is not about me, but about making a difference. I've spent my time raising awareness of youth problems, the need for drug prevention, the need to use more of the latest technology, and more. I've helped push for more funding for our local police departments, better budget management and beyond. I want to continue furthering these ideas in the weeks and months and years to come. I've consistently kept up on the latest issues that concern our neighborhood, our state, the country, and the world. I'd like to one day be a part of ensuring that we have the best schools possible, that our young people have all the opportunities we can give them, that we don't have as many drugs on our streets, and that there are fewer people suffering from poverty and disease. Together, we can make it happen.

Vote Ryan Kopf for Mayor of Muscatine, Iowa 2009

Vote for Ryan Kopf for mayor of Muscatine in the election in a few years for a number of important reasons. Ryan has many goals and plans for Muscatine, and is willing to work harder than anyone else has in the past.

New Technology will save Muscatine money. Using linux combined with server/thin-client networks will make computing faster and less expensive. Information will be more conveniently gathered, better organized, and easier to find.

Drug Prevention will save Muscatine money. We won't have to spend as much money tracking down drug-related crimes and thefts, plus we'll all be better off.

Youth Activities will keep young people in Muscatine. This will help Muscatine keep jobs and have a fantastic work force. We have a lot of smart young people in Muscatine, and we need to give them incentives to stay.
